Search and Rescue of Central Florida Team Members train 16 hours monthly at a minimum. All training is based on National Association for Search and Rescue (NASAR) SAR Tech I, II and III standards. Topics include but are not limited to; tracking, land navigation, missing person search and scene management. Members are comprised of State of Florida certified firefighters, paramedics, emergency medical technicians. law enforcement. and civilian personnel with specialized training in communications or other field.
Members must be certified to the NASAR Search and Rescue Technician II level in order to be eligible for deployment.
